My Wireless Router Gives me bad reception... what is my solution?

I have a Netgear 802.11b wireless router.

When I go to my living room which is about 100 feet away.. the reception is weak.

What can I do to solve this problem? Is there a bridge I can buy? Would buying a 802.11G router solve this problem? Thanks!

Buy an Access Point or try changing the router's position to see if that is the problem. Large metal objects, fish tanks, thick walls with metal in them can all cause issues with wireless reception

Try to get the router to a higher locale.

Wait a second, now that I think about it, if your living room is 100ft away from your router, you must have some sort of huge multistory house. If that is the case, try to get the router to the middle of your house if possible.

Try a high gain omni antenna. Most routers can screw off the antenna wire so it's very easy to add a better antenna.
