minnesota, extreme heat? I'm not sure, but I come back from work and the batter chamber and external surroundings have white crusy power stuff all over it.. but the mouse still works, surprisingly.

obviously the batteries need to be trashed

should I keep the mouse and if so, how should I clean it without getting ill?

yeah I know it sucks, but at the same time I'm not overly impressed about this.

That has happened to me not long ago with the mouse out of the Logitec EX111 keyboard + mouse combo. All I did was dispose of the bad batteries, put some new ones in, and washed my hands really well afterwards. I should have probably used gloves to handle the batteries but there hasnt been any visible damage to my skin, although im sure that powder cant be good, whatever it is.

don't worry about this, the battery is not broken it often happens because of high humidity, so clean it up and continue working.

just getting done with the minnesota summer... yes, the room I work in is hella HOT, probably the reason why.

white powdery stuff I doubt is any healthier than basement chemicals.
