My wireless connection keeps getting dropped on my laptop :(

Hey guys, I have a D-Link DI-524 wireless router sot that my laptop with a Centrino processor can get internet around the house, but the thing is that after 2 or 3 minutes of connecting to my wireless internet it just says that there is no connection and just drops my internet, even though it can see that there is a wireless signal being broadcasted 🙁. Can someone help me troubleshoot this problem please.

And this is not only for my home computer it does the same thing for my wireless internet in my university campus.

if you never manage to fix it, buying a wireless pcmcia should (although you shouldnt have to, as integrated wifi is one of the features of centrino.) Sorry got no other suggestions 🙁

latest drivers installed? Are you using the XP wireless configuration or the manufacturer's utility?

Try disabling 802.1x authentication.

Try that and make sure you are using Intel's application to configure the wireless card and not the Windows wireless.

FYI, the reason I know that you have an intel wireless card is because your said that you had a machine with Centrino inside.

Centrino = Pentium M processor, Intel Wireless, and Intel chipset.
Centrino does not equal a processor.

I had no problems with my intel internal wireless card in my Dell Latitude X1 on my D-Link 614+ or my new NetGear WRT614.

I know its not the hardware because it worked just fine, and this problem only started to happen after i deleted my network bridge.

And the drivers I had before worked fine, I just know it was something stupid that I did and now its not workin 🙁.
