My wireless computer can't see printer on router

Sorry, i posted this also in the General Hardware forum by mistake. But if you are reading this please help 🙂

I have wrt54gl wireless router that has a brother printer plugged into it. I have a XP Pro desktop that is plugged into the router. Everything works fine and this desktop can see the printer.

My question.

I have another desktop (XP pro) that is connected to the same wrt54gl router (wirelessly). It can see the internet. However, It cannot see the printer.

What am I doing wrong? Is it possible?

Thanks for you help.

Has the computer been set up to be apart of the network. The internet comes threw weather you have the computers networked together or not. So run threw the Network setup wisard and you should be good to go.

I got it to work last night. It seems I didn't have printer sharing turned on from the main desktop. From what I understand (not much), the main desktop must be on and connected to the router for the wireless desktop to see the printer also.

I thought the 2 desktop computers would be able to see the printer independently of each other.
