My Wireless Belkin Router

I have the 802.11b Wireless Cable/Dsl Gateway Router it was working fine for about 3 months, lately i have started getting kicked off the net alot. Even on computers that are connected to the router via CAT5 cable. I dont get it. I called tech support and they said it could be because of cordless phones and blah blah....but its also happening with the hard line computers. and i was never getting kicked off like this before.

Anyone have ideas. I would, like always, greatly appriciate help 🙂

Do you try to disable your online live Protectors (Firewall, Adware, PopUp Blockers, Virus filters, etc.)?

Did you try to bypass the Router, and connect one computer directly to the Modem?

Did you check whether your ISP made changes in the service?s parameters?

I have not checked on the ISP, but i did connect one computer (doing it now cause its so constant and annoying) to the cable modem and it works great. i dont use pop up stoppers or adware, virus filters....

I had a similar problem as you recently, turned out to be my (Linksys) router was getting hot (sandwiched between my print server and my Access Point). When I touched it I was surprised how hot it was. After rearranging my devices I haven't had the problem again. It may not be your issue but it's certainly easy to check that one.

You make any physical changes to your network when the box started not working, that could have changed the airflow/temp dynamics?

Is it possible that becuase its not getting enough heat its having this problem? I used to set my cable modem on top of the router, which produced major heat...little did i know until about a month ago when i seperated the 2 and this problem kinda started.
