yeah it seems to get earlier and earlier almost every time i restart my computer...sometimes it stays in time and then other times it doesnt. i unchecked the sync with internet time server option too.

ive also reinstalled xp several times before and seem to have always had this problem.

anyone know whats up?

Probably your motherboard's clock is flaky. If it's old, a new battery might help, but it's probably just flaky. Why would you uncheck NTP (internet time server)? Keeping dodgy local clocks in line is the whole point of NTP. Using it should improve things.

I was having problems with my clock to. It would often drop 5-6 minutes per day. I tried tweaking the windows time service to update more often, but couldn't get it to work so I finally just got Atomic Clock Service. It updates my clock several times per day so now its very accurate. At least much more so then before. I'm using a permanent trial version of the program.

Are you dual booting with linux??? Linux could be changing the clock when you boot-up and shutdown. Happened to me...

Was it set to Pacific Time? As in San Fran?
