My Windows 2000 PC is suddenly beeping at me once every ~61 seconds!

Suddenly this morning. The beeps last about a second, and it's the PC speaker. What can I do to troubleshoot this weird behavior? Any ideas? I'm not running anything different. TIA...

Same thing happened to me and another tech in our lab. I kept hearing a beep and was trying to figure which of the approx 10 computers was making it. Ended up it was my co-workers cell phone beeping to tell him he had a text message.
