When do people have head phone in?
The only time I see it is with runners. (no one here, right?)

I run ultramarathons and often run longer than most BT earbuds last. It's hard to find BT earbuds that last 8+ hours and don't fall out from sweat. Definitely don't want wires when running, or anything big and bulky over the ears.

I actually loved the headphone jack for taking calls with earbuds that have a microphone :(

Instead with my new phone (Pixel 3XL) they just include an earbud set that plugs into the USB outlet... which I guess is... fine... Just means I can't charge and use them at the same time.

Why can't you do Bluetooth? Go wireless...you'll never go back. It's why Apple did away with the headphone jack in the first place.

You can get some decent cheap headphones or go with something more expensive if you choose. Bluetooth 5 is lower power and typically increases headphone battery life to 10+ hours.

Maybe it's just me.... but... I have just kinda yet to see a bluetooth headset that didn't look goofy as hell on people.

We all know Airpods look incredibly stupid - and those other USB headsets where it looks like you're from Star Trek don't exactly look great either...

you must not travel on planes alot either....
Not a whole lot. Once or twice a year. Since I've never taken the time to learn how to get my CD's onto my phone, I have nothing to listen to on it.
I did load foobar based recommendations here but never took the time to use it.

"... 3.5mm coax spdif port ..."

Wait a second, ...

iPhone can do digital audio through the 3.5mm jack?

I've had coaxial S/PDIF stuff. I've had optical S/PDIF stuff.

I've had computers with S/PDIF optical components in a combo 3.5mm TRS jack (the same jack can also interface with standard headphones).

I've had TOSLINK fiber optic S/PDIF cables with 3.5mm adapter dongles on each end.

... but I never heard of iPhones having S/PDIF (neither coax nor optical). If they had it, that's neat but I can't imagine 1 out of 1,000 iPhone owners used it.

Sorry I was thinking about a portable amp I use with my iphone. The iphone is just a regular deal. Sorry for the confusion. lol

say 3.5 hour batter life so probably only 2.5-3 in real life...but looks wise, you won't look like you are from Star Trek

those do look much better than the iPod choadwear--but do they have the same shit sound that beats is known for?
Reviews say it's still a bit bass-heavy because that's what Beats owners expect, but not nearly as bass-heavy as other Beats typically are. Reviewers who typically knock Beats products say these are actually pretty good. Insanely long battery life, 9 hours for each one on a single charge -- so you probably don't need to carry that large battery case around.

$250 though.

Also makes more sense if you have Apple ecosystem. Comes with a Lightning cable to charge the case.
