So just in care the OP and his wife want to divorce, it would be easy because both parties know where all the assets are. :D

OP, did you and the wife decide what to wear for Halloween?

GAAP says that all baby expenses must be capitalized in the period in which the baby was conceived.

So, like, 2 minutes?

Loans are pretty much a gimmie. Most grants and many scholarships are need based however, so anything over 20k a year and you won't be seeing anything from those.

just looking for loans.

You can probably get unsubsidized as long as you meet their requirement (you must have a pulse, unless it's tuesday). Subsidized would be harder, but you might get something.

QFT at least back in the 90's and 2000.

In my first go at college I wanted cheap loans, however; since my family was considered wealthy I couldn't get them...they looked at the prior years income though. At the time both my parents were bedridden and judged terminal. My dad had a heart attack and my mother was suffering cancer.

I used up my savings and about 7k in staffords near the end once I was considered 'on my own' for the first 7 years

Second time was in 1999 when I went back. Applied for aid and was told I should have been able to save 30% of my income the previous year.

I told the aid people if I could save 30% of my income, I would not be going back to school to begin with.

I still figured out a way to pay it with fk'd up loans totalling 30k+ for 2 years.

Unfortunately I am still paying on them...fortunately my rate is only 4%, my goal is to get them rubbed out in a few years.

Yep, she's the Manager of an Ulta Beauty store. She's getting real sick of the retail life.

Mine is head visual of a national teen/20 something store (basically design the way the store looks/manniquins and the like) she is making a decent salary but nowhere near her income potential as the programmer in Japan she was.

The Japanese judge themselves too harshly. She won't go for great jobs in her alley because she thinks her english isn't good enough.

My response to her is always if you can communicate in retail, you can communicate anywhere.

So now she makes about 1/2 what I make when in US dollars she was making double it overseas.

It's a long story, ends that I am happy now though. I was hoping once we married she'd get up to at least my level of pay or even surpass it. She does love her job though and to me that's more important.

If money was no object, I'd have her do a four year degree here just for the experience it gives one.
