My wife met Captain Christopher Pike today

Apparently he's a photographer now and she hired him to do some portrait shots of her (she had no idea who he is). He's 72 now and he wrote a book recently so he gave her a bookmark and signed it to her personally.

This is the guy who was in the box and could only beep yes and no, not the guy who played in the pilot. He was also in 2 other episodes but I don't remember those roles.

Sean Kenney is the guy's name.

Yeah, I'm kinda geeking out over this. 😀

As one of what I assume is probably the relatively small number of forum participants who recognized the character's name without the background info, I have to say that while I wouldn't quite be "geeking out" over it, that is pretty cool.😉 Indeed better imnsho than meeting one of the more "run of the mill" major-character actors, excepting maybe Leonard Nimoy (and obviously I don't think I'd want to actually run into him now.😱)
