This is a follow up thread from last week.

Hello
My wife got an offer from the company she interviewed with last week. She told the lady to give her a few days to think about it. Now she just has to ask a few minor questions regarding the benefits offered by this company before she proceeds. If she get's the right answers from HR she would like to know if the salary is negotiable. I did some google searching but didn't find the answers I was looking for.

Since she received the offer via telephone call, would you call the manager that gave you the offer letter to ask if this is can be negotiated or would you send an email doing so?

Can anyone offer some suggestions?

Thanks for your help.

You definitely want to talk with them about it - email is right out. An important part is paying attention to how they react.

Monster actually has a number of articles on that topic, in fact.

The job is a customer service representative for a company called Symitar that sells software to credit unions.

She's had some type of customer service for about 10 years now. She worked at Nordstroms for almost 6 years (4 as a department manager). Currently, my wife has been with a credit union as a Loan processor for home loans. Both companies, she's always been the top producer in the positions she's held.
