Nice. Doesn't look like she's completely done though ;)

I've always wondered how the 120 looked on the A8N-E. Now I know....

Nah... She's got to do a lot of wiring and stuff. We rigged it up for now to get the software installed before we had to return the video card. Plus, all of my stuff is in to make custom length power and fan cables. So we get to have fun with that.

She built the computer in it's entirety. I helped with the processor / HSF / fan, but that was it. She hooked up the wiring and did all of the cables and wiring. We started running it all nice and pretty, but finally she just wanted it hooked up. :)

Lookin' good Fullmetal.

What kind of fan control is she using ? I know that the Sanyo Denki 103cfm@39dBA will start/run in silence at 5V and still put out about 40+cfm :)

what happened to a little dot in the middle of the cpu method of thermal paste application? the way she is doing it can lead to tiny gaps.

Hey, that's pretty darn cool...A good female friend of mine got to watch me build my new rig from scratch...She learned quite a bit from it, but she's nowhere near ready to build her own...

Pretty cool that you guys took pics of her 1st experience...

Its no biggie..
I just had to take a double take, and had to do a quick search.. I was going to buy one of those boards immediately , if it was a Tyan. They are top notch for stability. :)

I agree. Tyan and Supermicro. Although I consider Asus to be the stable ones of the more consumer-level mobos.

On the gaming machine (the wife's)? That's a Thermalright SI-120. On my machine, I have two Thermalright SI-9XVs.

Actually, she kinda found me...

It all happened while I had basically told my ex to get out of the house while I decide what I want to do, as I was just tired of her crap. While she was gone, I was having a get-together here in Ingleside, and I had friends from Houston and Austin down. Well, I didn't know it, but Liz's friend was having her families yearly visit to South Padre, and her friend kinda ended up ditching her. So I somehow ended up talking to Liz on the phone, and asked her if she wanted to come over. She said yes, and we went and got here, and we had a good ol' time. And I've talked to her on the phone ever since.

When I was on deployment in San Diego, I proposed to her, and then we got married 11 months ago.
