my whole life, i thought 'i concur' meant something like 'i beg to differ'. i thought it was disagree. now, it has been brought to my attention that its the OPPOSITE. i have this dictionary open, staring me in the face, screaming - YOURE A NUT!!

im pretty sure the dictionary is lying. i mean. its gotta be some conspiracy. NOOOOOOOOOO. *snap*

so anyways, im going to go to my corner and rock in the fetal position for a bit. and contemplate all the stuff ive heard/read over the years, and TOTALLY misunderstood. :|

Lucky you're not in the military. The word concur is used often in legal documents, counseling forms and various other areas. You would have "concurred" yourself into oblivion in the Army.

Sergeant: "Hey PVT Snuffy! I need someone to go down and shovel $hit out of the trench, do you concur with that mission?!"

You: "Hell yeah I concur to that mission. There's no way I wouldn't concur. What are you thinking?"

Sergeant: "GOOD! Here's your shovel. Get to concurring!"

You: "But I concur damnit!"

and on and on it would go.....

Funny stuff.

Well all that proves is that the PSAT didn't have the word concur on it. ;)
