All i can say is that this is a GREAT board!

the features are nice.. the board lay out is all right... EVERYTHING IS GREAT!!

i can run 218 fsb no problems... on and on and on...

BUT

the SATA RAID is too problematic to use...

after reinstalling windows.... hmm... about... 9 times in the last 3 days, i've given up on using the raid...

i also keep having problems with trying to use my printer with the usb cable... works great w/ a big fat non usb cable but that's it...

i know that this RAID thing is an issue and they are taking a poll over at ABIT to see how many people are having problems....

and WOW, there are a lot of people having problems....

EVERYTHING ELSE WORKS WONDERFULLY!!!!

if you want to use the SATA RAID, don't say you haven't been warned...

Sounds like a real nice board. :) Must resist the itch to go over to AMD side again... lol... need to save my pennies for Canterwood... :)

It seems like Canterwood is having problem with SATA also... hmm... Good thing I don't own any SATA drives... yet... :)

What kind of problem are you having with your USB printer? You think it's the onboard USB? I have 2 printers (Epson & HP) that I've been using with USB connection and had no problem whatsoever...

well... on 3 of my 9 installs, i got the usb to work fine :)

this one however... not so good...

it detects the printer and everything but when i check hardware config, theres a yellow exclamation point by the printer (but it shows the proper name)....

i rebooted, and i kept getting the infamous BSOD saying there was a conflict blah blah blah... i unplugged my printer and everything was fixed...

so i just went about and installed with the other cable i had...

on some of the installs, it tries to install drivers for usb printing support and it always fails... i think this would be the reason why i can't use usb printing...

oh well.... glad i have the other cable....

wow... that's pretty interesting... what OS are you running? If it's XP, make sure you have the SP1 installed for USB's to function properly. I'm sure you're doing this, but make sure you have the latest drivers for the printers as well. Most manufacturers (well at least Epson & HP) seem to have separate set of drivers for USB printing.

Shimmi, try manually updating the USB 2.0 driver from device manager. I've had various conflicts with USB after tinkering with hardware or Windows; the USB 2.0 drivers don't seem to install by themselves and can cause a "limbo" state with your USB controller. Updating the driver manually (going through the auto-detect or select driver) has fixed the problem.
