My Whistling Wega wtf.:/???

over the past week or so,my wega has been "whistling" on and off..(hi pitched noise.)
its only 8 months old.
i did have digital cable installed 3 weeks ago.could this have anything to do with it?
 
I have the same problem with my Wega, not sure what causes it. Typically, if you turn it off, leave it off for like 15 seconds, then turn it back on it works fine.
 
It's the flyback transformer.

I can't remember if it's a bad sign or not though.
 
I have a really old 20" Zenith that does that constantly. Some one told me that it was a cold solder joint....... Got so damn annoying that I bought a new 27" WEGA.

I say if yours is still under warranty, get it replaced.

my tv is having the problem of Ghosting now, sorta like a monitor, anyone ever heard of that before?
 
I have the same problem w/ my 20" Trinitron Monitor. It started a few months ago but has slowly gone away. =)
