So i recently took a new job working from home where I sit on my ass 8 hours a day and wasnt looking forward to getting fatter....so i took the proactive approach. Got a "free to pick up" treadmill on CL and bought 30 bucks worth of rack and shelving from ikea.

I know the wiring is sloppy right now, and the cheap treadmill is temporary. But what do you think? Any improvements to suggest?
The shelf is only 15" deep and the lady at ikea said that a 24" shelf is coming. once those are out, I plan to get one and drop it a few inches, but that is a pretty big chore, so that will work for now

Awesome! Everyone I know who has setup a treadmill desk absolutely loves it. There are days at work where I won't leave my seat for 8 hours straight because of projects, so I think anything that can help offset that is a Good Thing

Day 1.
WTF did I do! i YEARN for my chair! I'm only 4 hours in and I am hating my self.
Thats being said, Im so glad I did it. I took the chair options out so i COULDN'T reach for it. (yes i could get a bar stool, but I can't have it here or else i will use it)
I knew day 1 would suck, but reaching for a crutch would only make the future worse.
Cant wait for part 2 day 1!

day 3. Still wanting that chair, but holding strong.
I think Ill eventually spend some money and get a decent treadmill. This one is loud and has a REALLY narrow track.

Are you walking while you work? Must make for an interesting day. Looks like your setup is missing some place to put water. Staying hydrated is an important part of exercise.

Good for you, I would bust my ass.

On a treadmill I have to concentrate on walking, or else I start wandering, and end up stepping off the edge.

I made some mods to it last night

Obviously this is one of those work in progress kinda things. Slowly perfecting the set up as I go.

So i took apart the whole arm assembly and rewired the control panel. This places the keyboard and mouse in a much more natural position
