I'm working on this in FrontPage, using the theme entitled &quot;Zero&quot;. It's got a background of 1's and 0's. The <hr> tag sets a breaker with 1's and 0's too.

Using bullet lists, there's also a specialized icon for the bullets.

But, even though I've uploaded all the files having to do with the &quot;zero&quot; theme, I CAN'T SEE IT when I look at it over the web. When I open it in FrontPage or InternetExplorer, I see everything fine. But when I look at it over the web, I only see a black background, no <hr> tag, and no specialized icons for bullet lists.

this is really starting to irritate me. I've tried everything I can think of, and nothing's working. Anyone have any suggestions???

Ack! FRAMES!!! Ack!
Sorry... personally despise frames with a passion unless they are absolutely necessary. If possible, try using tables instead, and just copy &amp; past them to any necessary pages. It avoids the ugly scrollbars.

maybe double check image file location

is this where your image is located?

<BODY background=&quot;../_themes/zero/zertxtr.gif&quot;

I do believe so. FP copies all pertinent files to the folder in which you start your page. I copied everything over via WS_FTP LE. It SHOULD have worked. Again, it works outside of FP in IE, but not off of the web.

left frame has to go, it takes too long to load, more content and a better presentation for the main page, you have 3 adds all in the front they kill the page. give your page a title not &quot;new page 1&quot;

im done

I hate the adverts. They REALLY is suck. I'm getting rid of the top frame, too. Maybe I'll get rid of the animations in the left frame?

Animations got to go... switch over to NBCI/Xoom (DAMN, how many times have I recommended them today? I should get paid by them)

I happen to like frames. Especially if you are a 'webmaster' too. Very easy to update and organize stuff. You can make it so that the frames have no borders and there's a command to get rid of the scroll bars, just make sure everything fits in an average viewing window. Otherwise, the scroll bars will come up. Take a look at my site for the code for the scroll bar and no border frame thing.

Damn, it looks like you advertising for Tripod... three ads on one page. Ack. The page isn't bad for a first timer. Is this your first time building a site? Actually if this is your first site, I'd have to give you a big hand. My first site was @$$ compared to this.

By the way, switch over to NBCI/Xoom. PM me for the code to get rid of the adbar @ NBCI...

Also, make sure you are linking your image files right... did you make a folder called _themes and then another folder called zero under it at the host server? Because all your images are linked to there.

Image links kicked my @$$ the first time I put up a page, couldn't figure out why none of the images were showing up... then realized that all of them were linking to the C: drive.

goodluck!

Definitely ditch the frames, and the animation where the links come flying...takes forever to wait for :)

takes forever? I'm on a 56K that regularly connects at 36. Everything loads fine, here. Anyway, I'm getting rid of the adverts by going with Geocities. I'm uploading the files now. It should look alot better. And I learned that FrontPage2000 supports publishing right to Geocities (or is that vice versa?) -anyway, Maybe frontpage will upload the files in the correct order and in the correct folders for the background to look as it should.

Frames can be a good thing if you use them just right, but right now not too many people use them.

Here's what you do:

First, select the frames and take out the borders.
Then, edit the html source code for the left frame and put scrolling=&quot;NO&quot; in it. Try to optimize the side bar so the info doesn't go below the bottom of the page because they won't be able to scroll to it.

You know where to contact me if you need more info. :)

The only problem with forcing things into frames without scrollbars is that sometimes it doesn't fit in the window, and then people must resize - if they even realize that there is more content thats not visible! A table layout would work much better.

So did you just give up on the 1's and 0's background?
