My WD SiliconEdge Blue Bench Review Thread

I bought the Western Digital Silicon Edge Blue 64gb SSD this week for the low low price of $129 before tax and extra shipping(regular UPS was free in this case). I want to make a thread for this drive since there hasn't really been any coverage, aside from Anand's as-always-awesome review, but more from a regular user. I would like to shed a bit of light on some of the "real world" expectations of SSD's, and in this case, the Western Digital Silicon Edge Blue 64gb.

I ran a couple tests using HD Tune and Crystal Disk Mark( the blue one being the WD drive and the green being my previously owned Intel X25-M G2 160gb). I also included a screenshot of my current disk capacity and usage, as well as a screenshot of all the installed programs on the SSD, just to get an idea of what one can expect after a fresh install and some basic programs.

My OS is Windows 7 64 bit with all updates. I kept the original resolution so you can take it all in ;-)

This is all I have been able to knock out since I got home at 6:00, but if there is a specific test or bench that you would like me to perform let me know. I will be installing some games and loading/shutting down windows and recording the times for a more real world result as opposed to sythetic numbers.

One test I already recorded was the Windows 7 install, which took 13 mins and 43 seconds from "install" to "desktop".
