and then you're going to tell us your non-overclocked idle temps. thanks, that helps a lot.

I think your cat knows more about spending money than you do.

Nah there isn't a better or worse. I realy like the read position you chose, uses up the otherwise piled with paper space the top of a tower has anyway :p

Temps should be fantastic with such a giant rad and good block, sure hope you break out the OC'ing later :)

Well i can hit 3ghz on air with this chip. So with some better ram i know i can hit 4ghz. Because it only took me about 5 mins to hit 3ghz.

VERY VERY nice job.

ummm.. i wouldnt hold your breath on 4.

Anyhow my Opty is gone. :[ Someone offered me more then i could possibly ask for on my opty. I think he wanted to dry LN run it quickly for a WR since it was doing 3.08ghz on near stock voltage 24/7 orthos.

I got my hands on a E6600. I went out and got a EVGA 680i

to my knowledge i think i got a hold of a pretty decient CPU. Im trying to low voltage push her at the moment.

At 1.4v she's doing 3.5 at 42-41 C respectively on load on orthos stable.

I think im gonna go for 3.6 at 1.45 or see how far she'll climb at 1.45V Your setup and mine could do 1.5V easily, however i dont like pushing my cpu voltage that high.

I think you should expect to see near my temps, maybe a tad bit higher since im on a higher class loop. But i cant wait to see your results.

Well, here's the thing...

It looks like you're trying to put 10 lb. of sh!t in a 5 lb. sack.

I have never understood this...

It's like, if a job requires gloves, I don't want any part of it, you know?

And, if a case is so small that it requires mounting components on the outside, I don't want any part of that either!

So, I guess I don't like it, but that's just me.

None of my business, I guess, but you asked, yes? ;)

Yes aigomorla i can probably hit that high. My e6300 with 1.325 volts did 3.0 on air. And the ram is 2x1gb on cosair pc-5400. So i think with some better ram i will be able to do a bit better.

And Vin i know what you mean, sry mine is ugly.... :(

ahahaha vin's jealous because your on water and he's not.

Also vin's the only guy on this forum with a UFO thats not watercooled.

And i was hitting 3.1ghz on stock voltage. :p but she wont do 3.6ghz unless i push her past 1.4v :X

Also, heh my EVGA allows me to independatly clock my RAM and CPU. I dont need to relay on a crappy divider anymore :p

Don't take what I'm saying the wrong way!

Look, you did a great job, so far! It's just the case that sucks!

What I don't understand is going to all that time, trouble, and expense, and shoe-horning it into (and outside of) a case that's obviously too small for the task.

No big deal!

Looking into my crystal ball, I see a Mountain Mods U2-UFO in your future... :D

All in good time, my man! :D

If Intel would quit turning out concave C2D chips, I'd be there already...

Nope, joining two of these cases together...... then a PA120.3 on the top.
Heh!

That's the ironic part of all this, for me...

I own a Mountain Mods U2-UFO Opti 1203. My case is MADE for that radiator, hence the name (Opti 1203 = Optimized for a PA120.3 radiator). However, as 'aigomorla' said, I'm still running air-cooling, e.g. a Tuniq Tower 120.

So, in my (ahem) case, it's a waste of space -- but, in your case, it's a waste of time, yes?

I suppose, in my circumstance, I have more money than I have time -- and in your circumstance, you have more time than you have money.

But, that's just an educated guess... ;)
