My watch has a rotating topring

What's it for? This is the watch. I got it for Christmas and I really like it, but I can't figure out what the purpose of the rotating topring is. Anyone know?

Timing -- rotate 0 to the current minute hand position.

Mine has the same thing, only no numbers, just lines..

I heard it's something divers use?

That's what my uncle said. I guess there are diver's watches that have rings that rotate to indicate your depth. But in our case it's just a timer(which is still cool).

its called a bezel, i believe.

Basically it turns into something you play with when you're bored or nervous - other than that it's just a pretty "feature" so they can charge more for the watch.
