I like the stuff on my walls to be more personal.

I ask my more artsy friends to draw/paint stuff that I post on my walls. Other close friends, I ask for good pictures they've taken (mostly landscapes/cityscapes) and blow those up.

It makes for better conversation pieces too. It's a lot easier to start chatting when you say, "my ex-roommate drew that. She's an architecture student" than it is when you say, "I got it from an allposters.com sale"

Oh, and also, it's sorta free...

yeah about $5-10 depending on the size. Look for them around the lamps and bath area.
