My VOS32 will not mount directly to the T-Bird (Slot) without a heatplate or shell. What gives?

Can someone send me a link on how to mount a VOS32 to a bare Slot A T-Bird? With the included parts, I cannot get it to work for the life of me...

Any help is very appreciated!

VOS32s are really hard to mount directly on the core. If you want to do that, the alpha is supposed to be easier.
