And this isn't Vegas! Not a bad view can't wait to see how it looks in the night when lit up.
Well if it's not Las Vegas then it must be Tianducheng, China. What do I win?

What is funny is people want the Eiffel Tower outside their window but do not what cell phone towers whose visual appeal is on par with this.

Needs aluminum siding; cuts down on maintenance costs and they could wash it with a garden hose.
Looks even better at night.

They just had this sparkly light show on it but pictures don't do it justice neither do videos.
In fact pictures in general don't do it justice imo. I had no desire to see the Eiffel Tower but now I can't stop staring at it.

Nice. FYI it's actually illegal to photograph the tower at night. Basically it's physically copyrighted, so taking a pic of it is copyright infringement. Got to like how idiotic IP laws can be.

But I'd probably do it anyway, because screw those stupid laws.Just upload pics to a server using an encrypted connection and delete from camera before leaving.
They have the sparkly light show every night - starts at 11 IIRC. The area around the tower is nice, quiet, and dark - we've stayed there a few times and really enjoyed it. We stayed in the St. Germain area when we were in Paris last December and it was just too loud and busy in comparison.
You're not far from Les Invalides, where the tombs of Napoleon and other famous French people (like Marshall Foch) are buried. There's also a military museum there which is quite nice. The Rodin museum is close to that as well, and you're probably only a street or two over from Rue Cler, which is a relatively famous street in the 7th which has a bunch of food markets.
Regardless, enjoy it and have fun. Paris is a great city with a ton of stuff to do - we've been several times and still have things we want to do. Consider the Paris Museum pass if you're going to be there for several days and want to see the Louvre, Orsay, and other museums - it will allow you to skip huge lines. (PRO TIP: There is a side entrance to the Louvre which generally has no lines - it was closed when we were there in December but there is an underground mall next to the Louvre called the Carrousel and it also has an entrance into the Louvre which isn't as crowded as the pyramid entrance). The Louvre is seriously one of my favorite places in the world.
