But she just sound terrible. Like a high pitched William Hung. Its this electric high pitched ringing and its driving me crazy. She only sings only when I play Oblivion, which is annoying cuz I play it alot.

Its a sapphire x850 xt with a zalman 700alcu cooler. I had it overclocked to 560/590 but Ive set it back to default 520/540 and she still sings.

Is there anything I can do?

the fan on the zalman vf700s can be pretty loud at full speed. Try using one of the white connectors that is on the adapter that comes with the heatsink...they are 5v, as opposed to 12v (full speed) for the black connectors.

No guys.

Its like a high pitched ringing sound. Definately not the fan. It sounds like the type of sound power lines would make, a really high pitched electric ring.

Well, if it was still under warranty you could have it replaced. But regardless of the original expiration it is unfortuantely voided by the after-market cooler. Anyway, you would just feel silly when you found out that the real source of the noise was a crappy power supply afterall. 😛

Seriousry [sic], noise is so commonly misattributed I just can't rule out that you are mistaken. See sig.

I guess its kinda hard to tell where the noise is coming from sometimes, but one thing puzzles me and its something you left out. Why does this only happen when I play oblivion?
