I tried installing a GeForce 4200 video card in my computer and when first installed everything seemed fine and I ran 3DMark2001 but my result was too low. I noticed that my bios had somehow reset itself and my 1.33 GHZ Athlon was running at 1GHz. I went into the bios to change the settings back but after saving and exiting my computer shows no video on the screen. The computer turns on and everything seems okay, I just get no picture on my monitor. I installed the same card in a different computer and it works fine so it's not the card. Any suggestions? How do I reset the CMOS on this board? Thanks.

There is two small solder dots that you need to short with a small screwdriver. It will say something like "clr cmos" silkscreened right next to the dots. You could also take the battery out for a minute or so and that should get the same results. If I remember correctly, they were positioned just below the IDE ports.

What brand/model of MB? I know my Abit used to have a soft reset that if I turn the power off at the PS (not the front button, had to drain the extra stored energy) and held down the insert key and powered it on (while holding it down) it would reset the bios. Not sure if others did this, but you can check with your manufacturer.
