Just last april I bought a Sharp 32" television (32r-s480) and it was great but now its dead. It just makes this clicking noise when you press the power button. It sounds like it wants to power up but cant quite make it. Anyway, I didn't buy service on it and now it's biting me in the ass. Poor TV. <insert sniffle here>

don't tv's usually come with 1 year warranty ?
it might be better for you to just replace it with something better.

Like a low end Wega or something maybe the panasonic Tau.

Use factory warranty, if not your local repair shops can reasonably repair the unit. Lots of life left in a newer TV.

That is all

probably just the high voltage transformer

get one off the internet and change it out yourself

well, you have to be really careful doing it so you don't get electrocuted

Learn what ur talking about before posting nonsense, a TV is a complicated and dangerous device, service should be left to a qualified and properly trained professional.

Probably 1% of TV's i service have a defective HV transformer. The most common failures are switch-mode powersupply related, which is NOT an easy circuit to troubleshoot or repair.

Your set can be repaired for a reasonable amount crumpet, even if you buy a new set, invest some money in repair and you'll have a great 2nd TV
