I'm rather frustrated with TV Tuner cards. I'm about to give up with it..but I'll give ATOT another whirl. Right now I have the Asus Model 7133. I've heard many different reccomendations for software..but i've tried many, and haven't produced the results I desire. The sound is also terrible, i'm pretty sure its not recording in stereo. All I really want to do is schedule a recording, record a TV show, and have good enough picture quality for a VCD. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I would like detailed instructions...but I'll take what I can get. Anyone willing to help..I would greatly appreciate it!

ps..does anyone else have this card, and have a good working setup? That would be ideal.

Have you tried Snapstream?. It basically turns your PC into a Tivo machine. I've used it and am loving it. You can download the 21 day trial and see if you like it.

Is the ASUS 7133 compatible with this software? I don't see it listed.

I've had great results with the Radeon 8500DV all in wonder... They're pretty cheap now... eGay for around $120.

I'm fairly happy with my 7133. I'm using the software that came with it until I build my debian box then I will be using MythTV.

It works great on my windows xp box, but on my windows 2k, every since the installation I have been unable to watch any divx rips exept with winamp (monster green tint job on windvd, powerdvd and windows media player)

What are you using for sound? Mine is with a TB Santa Cruz and the recorded sound is awesome.

I'm using a SB Audigy..plugged in with the AUX connector. There are some driver updates and program updates on asus's website..I'm going to try those out and play with it tonight. Im at work right now :(

Ohhh woe is you.. pfft that's nothing. I have an old Ati Tv Wonder (not the newer version it has now)

My rage theator chip is shot to hell. My video is scratchy, even the s video cable :(
Sound is Out of the question.. sound is no more.

I use the Line in from the Sound card to get sound from phono cables from the back of the cable box

I also use the regualr coaxle cable from the cable to get the reception, before I had the opportunity to use the rca cable and svideo

Plus until ATI MMC 6.9 I couldn't use the damn thing on windows xp for 15 months :|
Thing is still chugging along, but I can't wait till its totally tanked and I can at least by a leadtek tuner.
