Ok got a ATI 8500LE 128mb card. When I use the S-video TVout the TV is in Black and white! I have tried everything I can think of including trying another video cable and changing the setting in the Advance Settings. Maybe im missing something...Plz help!

Thx,
Shawn

I have it set on "United States" NTSC. If theres a Bios flash fix I might be willing to try that. :disgust:

The same thing happened on my Radeon Mobility M6. I think it was because I upgraded the drivers because it was working fine before.

Just toggle between the video input you are using to another one and back. I have the Radeon 8500 128mb (not LE) and I had the exact same problem.

I had the same problem, actually just one for the problems. I returned the garbage card and got a 4200 like I should have in the first place...

The 4200 would have been nice to get but it wasnt in my budget. I figured for $90 the 8500LE would be a great buy and handle most of the games I play. I do however like to ue the Tv-out feature and would'nt have bought the card knowing it had issues. Alot of peeps must not use the Tvout because when asking for opinions about ATI cards and what to buy...noone ever said watch out for flaky video out! :|

I have two 8500's, and the TV-out works fine on both. It is almost as good as my Matrox G400. The Nvidia cards do NOT have good 2d or very good TV-out, so I disagree with mrlayance. I really do not know what the problem is, but keep asking, and if that doesn't work, try the ATI website and Rage3d forums (I hear they have an ATI person watching the posts a lot of the time).

mrlayance: A little help would be better than a smarta$$ comment.
