My TV is possessed!

A little background...

My TV is turned on right now, but on video mode so it's just a black screen. Earlier, I had an S-Video out signal going from PC to TV to show someone some pictures, and I never turned off the set or switched it back into TV mode.

I was on my PC, navigating a folder to play some MP3 files. All of a sudden, I hear what sounds like a police or taxi dispatch blairing from my TV. Crackly walkie-talkie voices filling my room. It went on for a good 5-7 seconds then stopped.

Any idea what the hell just happened? Here's the really weird part. I checked the volume level on the TV and it's set to very low right now, barely audible. The voices I heard were loud! WTF?

I asked myself the same question. Not being flippant here, but if they didn't come from the TV, they came from a concrete wall. The only other speakers I have are my PC speakers but the noise definitely wasn't coming from them, I'm sure of that.

most likely interference, your tv picked up the police frequence.
I used to have a really old clock radio that would spontaniously pick up the police band and turn up really loud for several seconds while it's turned off.

I live in an apartment next to a fairly busy highway during the day. When there was a large backup of traffic in front of the apartment, I started picking up CB signals on my speakers, and my wireless keyboard stopped working. As soon as the traffic started moving the sound stopped and the keyboard worked again.
