Panasonic Viera 55 plasma screen tv.

Power outage recently and now it doesn't work.

Nothing at all. It's as if it isn't even plugged into electricity.

I suspect that a fuse must have blown when they turned electricity back on.

Anyways, I hear that replacing the fuse is risky. But where could I find the parts?

I'm also thinking about getting the BestBuy geeksquad to try and fix it. How much do they cost?

What's the model number? I repaired an older 42 inch viera plasma and it was the board that the hdmi and connections all plugged into. With the model number we can better troubleshoot and perhaps supply you with a guide that will allow you to diagnose. How many flashes does the red light make on front of the TV?

Geeksquad is expensive. See if you have a TV repair shop around you. In all my years of fixing electronics it is rare that only a fuse goes bad. Really rare.

Yeah, AFAIK Geek Squad doesn't really do TV Repair anyway. And if they do, it'll be expensive.

It's probably not a fuse. There is probably a service manual out there for your model if you search, and it would have any part numbers listed. You might want to pay a pro TV repair shop for a diagnosis first, though.

Check your local TV repair shops. Some of them will do an initial diagnostic for free.
