I set the alarm today for 9 o'clock so that i could go to my 10 o'clock class today, because as things worked out its my only class today. My roomate turned OFF the alarm clock! Didnt make sure I was awake, nothing. I dont remember it going off at all.

Also, he set his computer alarm, so his z560s woke up the world at around 7 am. No complaints here from that really, as a person needs to do whatever to wake up. But then he goes to his computer, turns down the sound, and keeps listening to music. At 7 AM!!! When he has headphones!!!

AND, when i finally did wake up, i jump in the shower. Well its a good thing i take my key, TO THE SHOWER, because hes a paranoid freak and locked the door when he left.

Take a nice crap in his toasty bed before he comes home... That will always do the trick :)

I've got a set of Z560s in my dorm room, along with a cell phone, a laser printer, a VCR, DVD player and my wallet. That's not even including my roommate's stuff.

You'd better believe that I lock my sh!t up when I leave the room for more than 10 seconds. I don't care about much, but I care about my stuff. I want it to be there when I get back from the shower.

EDIT: But yeah, that's pretty inconsiderate of your roommate. He seems like a jerk.

It's stories like these that make me glad I lived with my parents when I went to college. Then again, I probably missed out on a lot of meaningless sex.

Geez, that seems to be the answer of choice these days... :Q

Stabbing is a surprisingly effective method of problem suppression.

It can be applied to all sorts of problems:

Roommates, girlfriends, boyfriends (hey, whatever floats your boat), bosses, coworkers...

Yeah, turning off the alarm clock without mentioning it to you was bad. As was not using the headphones.

But I have no problems with someone locking the door behind them if they're the last to leave a room. Look at it another way...had he left the door unlocked and someone stole your (and his) crap while you were still in the shower, would you be posting to ATOT about how your roommate was a dumbass for going off and leaving the door unlocked?

Haha.

Our door locks automatically.

I have a Sony DSC-F707, a 1500$ computer (2.26, Radeon 9700) that is light (in an aluminum case), a cell phone, TV, etc etc.

This room stays locked.

No, no i wouldnt be complaining. Id be pissed and trying to find who stole my stuff, but i'd be pretty suprised. People dont go around door to door turning knobs.

And yes, i do know that he turned it off. Hes done it before, and im sure he'll do it again. Its across the room, and goes off for an hour.

With three roommates and a $10 fee for the RA to unlock your door, I carry my keys with me anytime I leave the room. Of course, our suite does have its own shower. :D

Seriously though, have you actually asked him nicely to not turn your alarm off, or if he does to wake you up? And to use headphones when he listens to music in the morning, etc. Why does he turn it off anyway? Is he just being randomly mean? If he gets up at 7 seems like he'd already be gone when your alarm goes off.

he got up at 7 for a 8o'clock.. and came back right before my alarm goes off..

And now he wont stop playing his music loud. Normally I wouldnt mind, or perhaps if we could split the music time, but he NEVER leaves the room.
