My Tualitan Mod

So I finally decided it was time to change from my celly 566->850 in my CUBX so I bought a celly 1.1A retail box. Well, today I did the mod. I'm now running at 1466 @ 1.65V. Couple of comments. The CUBX wouldn't recognize a multiplier of 11 unless I use jumper mode to configure the bus speed. Also, I had to hardwire the voltage to 1.65V. It would not default to 1.45V, tho I first hardwired it to that just to test out the system. Finally, the bios, 1008 beta 4, does not pick up the cpu correctly. According to my board, I'm running a 1466 PentiumII. Anyway, this sucker flies and I couldn't have spend $58 any better.

Yes, I like Tualatin Celerons. Got my 1.2 running at 1.6 in my Abit BX133-RAID. Same CPU wouldn't hit that speed (not booting Windows) in an Abit VH6T and a Shuttle AV18ET. Just lopped off those three pins, wired for voltage (strangely the mobo would default to 1.35v or so) and voila! Of course my Celeron 1.1A is happy in my VH6T at 1.46. My two AV18ET are feeling a bit lonely right now, without CPUs, though I have a P3 700 from my BX133 and a still-shrinkwrapped 1.1A around here somewhere 🙂
