when do people normally start jobs out of college? My trip to china, which was orginally suppoed be around May 9th (right after graduation) got pushed to June. If I tell employers that i will not able to start till the end of June or beginiing of July, will this effect the decision of the employer?

Is this job one which requires decision making?

Not really sure....all the jobs that I have schedualed interviews for are engineering design positions (some entry level, some not). I would think that they would understand that some graduates take time off before they start, but I am not sure if they would have the mentality that they would hire someone because they could get someone 2 weeks earlier.

Thanks for the chuckle, you're talking about a corporation.

When I got my job offer, they were flexible. I am taking 2 months to see Europe and start in July - they want me starting earlier but I said no.

They said July would be fine. :)
