My triceps - biceps look unproportioned?

Turkish

Lifer
I was in the gym this morning, getting a BF measurement, and the guy that measured it told me I need to work on my biceps a little more cause they weren't as defined as my triceps. I know this is a bad picture, but what do you think? And my BF% is 10.2% 🙁

Triceps

Yea that pic sucks dood 🙂 But damn, 10.2%? I would have expected more definition (easier to see the horseshoe, veins in the arm) - probably just the pic. Take another pic where your elbow isn't locked.

Your arm looks normal to me. Most people are going to have larger looking triceps than biceps just because of how the muscles are shaped.

I think the proportion looks fine...yer tricep is a MUCH bigger group of muscles, therfore it should be quite a bit bigger.

Triceps

I think you need to work more on your photography skills. 😀

LOL.. that's like my arm.. except my triceps are larger and my biceps are smaller. I really gotta work the biceps.. the pull-up bar I got a few months ago still isn't helping.

Time to go to the ol' gym.. 🙁

Serious answer - yes - but not by much. Your biceps should be a little rounder - also you should work them because they're the complementary muscle, so without working your biceps your triceps will peak a lot earlier - but I'm sure you knew that 😀

Your trainer is an idiot. In order to "define" a muscle, you must lose bodyfat AND you can NOT spot reduce bodyfat.

edit: linky no worky

in all honesty it doesnt look that bad, IMO its just a personal opinion of what you think, remember bigger tri's mean bigger arms while bigger bi's mean jack shiat

I think your arm looks fine. Nice definition on the tricep...i also see that where your biceps begins (brachalli?) is rounded which is good. This puts u in the 95th percentile on this board.

Generally, your triceps get worked out more than your biceps, wether you like it or not. (ie: you use your triceps during chest workouts, thats why many people do triceps and chest on the same day.) .. your bicep does like kinda small... but it could be the pic too, maybe give this a try.

here is my routein:
tricep pull down (cable machine with 90 degree bent metal grip)
easy bar arm curls

tricep extension (cable machine with handle, one arm a time)
straigh bar (using squat bar) curls

'skull crushers'
preacher curls (using the bent bar that you grip and your hands are verticle... whatever it's called 😛)

supersetting them all of course 🙂

isn't the correct word disproportionate?

Your biceps do look relatively small in that picture, but its a crappy picture.
