My totally over-engineered, Star Wars themed holiday lights

A while back, someone posted a rant about how LED Christmas lights should run on DC power so that they don't flicker. Well, mine run on DC, but they're still a little bit more complicated than that.

This is our first time doing this. Looking forward to next year!

That's awesome! Are they mostly RGB led strips controlled with Arduino, like these? Those look really interesting as they arn't proprietary like a lot of RGB stuff so you can use Arduino or anything that can bit bang. Been thinking it would be neat to install these permanently on the house and have different modes for different holidays or just general lighting.

Do you have speakers on the outside playing the music synchronized?

I have two signs that are easily visible in person, but not in the video, that tell you to tune to 89.5 FM, which is where the music is locally broadcasted from my house using an FCC compliant FM transmitter.
