My Tivo thinks I'm gay!

Hehe, anyone see that on Mind of the Married Man last week? He tapes Will & Grace and a couple of Ellen episodes and it starts taping Queer as Folk, haha.

Seriously though, my Tivo thinks I am Spanish. I taped "An American Family" and some Shakira show and now it tapes all the Spanish shows. I can barely speak a dozen Spanish words. LOL!

Actually that episode is on my Replay right now. I haven't watched it yet.

I'm thinking about selling off the Replay and buying a TiVo Series2.

 

What's the deal with Tivo series 2? I heard about them, but don't know the details.

Mainly greater recording capacity and a new remote. The interface seems to be the same.

I just like the interface better than Replay's. I've owned Replay and TiVo and just find the TiVo easier to use but it's really a matter of personal preference.

Plus the Series2 have a pretty big drive already so there's no need to do a manual upgrade and possibly screw it up.

i've owned 2 replays (old replay and 4xxx model replay). if you want an honest opinion... both are great. i happen to like all the fancy stuff replay has: web based remote scheduling, broadband (lots of cool stuff to do here. & you can effectively expand the recording time by creating a virtual server on your computer, so you don't have to open the replay), optical audio output, progressive video output, AUTOMATIC COMMERCIAL SKIP (that last one is great, i watched the 2 hour season premier of the west wing at about 9:30 while it was recording, it finished just after 11 and i didn't have to pick up the remote once to skip a commercial)... but i'm sure tivo series 2 has some good things on it too. i've just never really bothered to check them out, because i've been so satisfied with my replay. but at least do this: wait a few weeks, because the new replays are going to come out. no one knows how they're different, but regardless they'll probably influence a price drop in all the other units. then you can make a better decision.
