I am sure I will be getting my exit papers real soon. I "insulted a mods integrity".

Again? or the one from last night?
If it was last night's - yeah, your time is short if you participate in P&N. The guns are locked, loaded and the crosshairs are focused...
Meh- so be it. They've been on me for months:) I can hack it and don't let it bother me personally. It's only a intarweb forum.

BTW - not to hijack this thread - but incase anyone wonders - I'm still around lurking - although my seti production has been unstable at best as of late. I just turned my home production back on tonight and hope to have work back up sometime in the future. It's not much but it's some.

The only mods I have ever corresponded with (wouldn't know which ones, of course) have been helpful and polite... However - probably for my own good - I can't stand P&N, but if you participate, I could see how it would be easy enough to step on the wrong set of toes and end up pissing off a mod in disguise - thus "earning" their personal vendetta against you. :(

Well, that would have been the mature thing to do. He questioned our integrity in public in FI in a thread that encouraged at least one other clown to try to reveal our identities.

We nuked that thread and pm'ed him to say that FI was for structural forum issues, that the proper procedure for other complaints was to respectfully pm us, and that if he publically questioned our integrity again, we would give him a vacation.

His response dripped with sarcasm and included this little gem:
And I don?t believe I questioned you?re integrity; I flat out said you guys don?t have any. No question about it.
That is why he will be spending the next two weeks in time out. We are a small group of dedicated volunteers who do our utmost to keep AnandTech at the forefront of computer forums on the net. We do not deserve, and will not accept, such a childishly vituperative attitude, nor would any of you were you in our place.

It's good to hear both sides, and I'm sure he is sorry and didn't really mean it. It's also good to know that the vacation is not permanent.
