My throat hurts. Any remedies?

This tastes bad, but works- put one tablespoon salt and one tablespoon baking soda in glass, fill with warm water. Gargle. Tastes and works like the dickens.

How do you know what the dickens taste like, hmm?

Dicken tastes like chicken, but my uncle Dick makes them. Hence, dicken.

Herbal Medicinals makes a product called "Throat Coat Tea" which is similar to some of the Chinese antidotes I've seen posted here before in that it contains slippery elm bark, liqourice tasting stuff (maybe annis), and a bunch of other bizzare sounding ingredients, one of which had to do with marshmellows. It's always helped me though, and tastes pretty good to boot.
