So I got my motherboard this week...

first my overclocking experience has been average at best. I was only able to get 148 FSB (2.65 ghz) on my 2.4b. I know the problem wasn't the RAM, because I know the stick I am using can do much more. Even bumping the vcore wouldn't help me get 149. At 149 and up it wouldn't load windows at all. I'm not an OCing expert, but I suspect the motherboard just won't go any higher.

There's a very good amount of bios settings, anything you would want is there, minus a PCI/AGP lock.

I ran into a problem with my RAM. The computer wouldn't boot if I put 1 stick in DIMM 1, while leaving the others empty. I had to change the stick to DIMM 2 for it to boot. Also one of the other stick's side wouldn't work, showing 256mb instead of 512mb, but that was probably the stick itself. (both sticks are Samsung 2700)

On to Windows...I ran into some IDE problems. My burner wouldn't work correctly, and I kept getting corrupted data from file transfers (from the net or from IDE devices). Installing the VIA 4-in-1 IDE driver fixed that problem, but my burner was now dead. I had to RMA it. I also had a ton of problems installing windows XP from my CD, corrupt data again. (on a new drive)

It's a very stable board so far, and performance wise it's pretty solid.

To make it short, don't buy this board while the new Gigabyte SiS648 kicks so much ass, at the same price. I've never been a big fan of VIA but I decided to get this board anyways. While it's a solid motherboard with good performance, there is better out there for the same price in my opinion. (approx. 100.00)

Amen, I own this board, and it's quite dissapointing.

Apparently VIA is doing the stepping of the week Game with the P4X400 chipset, so beware.
