I'm running a conroe system, 6300e on a Asus p5-b motherboard. I'm in a antec p180b case using the top fan, rear case fan, bottom fan and the middle Hd mount intake fan. i got a Ninja scythe plus with a 120mm yate loon.

my temps are around 45ish idle and 50ish load. thats on a cool day, on a warmer day my idles are around 48-50 and loads around 55ish.

anyone know how i can cool this down ? so i can OC this badboy

re mount your heatsink, maybe its not on right.

I agree. I think your fan arrangement is fine, as is your airflow.

Its definately a HS/F issue.

Remount it w/ some artic silver

ok, i re-installed my HS/F and I used AS5, alot thinner layer than the first time. My temps seem to be ABOUT the same, but I wanted to test the OC and how much it would raise. again its a 6300e stock 1.87 and i bumped it up to 2220 and idle was 43 and load about 51. then i bumped it up again to 2448 and now its idle 44 and load around 52. so it did get better

the stock ninja fan is a 120, i replaced it with a yateloon 120.

what do you guys think?

you need to know the CFM rating of both fans, a very important factor. I changed out my Tt big typhoon's 54cfm fan for a 79cfm fan and it dropped temps 5c

swtethan, i don't know what CFM rating stands for, but i looked it up the spec of the 120 Yate-Loon case fans i have and they both spec the CFM as : 47 i'm assuming thats a bit low since its lower than ur 54 or 79. I'm a big SLIENT guy, so i bought a bunch of these Yate-Loons a while back.

What brand is your 79 cfm and whats the dbs on it? I want to try to keep it quiet.

and thx for the info.. 5c thas alot!

the Scythe S-Flex SFF21F look a bit sexy at 67 cmf with a low dba still

CFM = Cubic Feet per Minute (ie, how much air the fan pushes).

The 120mm stock fan that comes with the Ninja and the 120mm Yate Loon quiet fans are very similar in specs and performance.
