Hmm haven't seen that movie, but if the TA in the movie is any worse than Tom Green I'll consider myself lucky

You have to understand why most TA are grumpy, is because they are over work and underpaid (doing all the profs work for them with out any appreciation), while writing their thesis.
But TAs could be great helps if you get on their good side, because I learned alot more from the few TAs that I got along with than all of my profs.

My TA's are OK, they are cool, but I don't go to a big state school, so that could be the difference. I know most of them by first name and we are on friendly terms.

Dating your TA is not that big of a deal really. You just have to keep them on their toes for 3 months till you finish that class
