Do I have an intruder lurking into my machine from the interent?

I noticed recently that when I attempted to shut down my computer while in suspend mode,
I had a pop up box that said, others are using your computer do you really want to shut
down?

Can anyone tell me more?

I am on a single laptop connected to internet via cable modem. I have windows messenger
shut off and do not use aol or yahoo messenger(that I know of)...

Is this standard language or do I have an intruder?

FYI: Here is exactly how computer was set.

1 - Pressed my shift F4 key to go into suspend mode
2 - I pressed F4 to get back out of suspend mode where I am presented with the blue windows
screen where you have to click on your name to re-enter system...
3 - Instead, I clicked on the "turn computer off" link in the lower left hand corner and got the
above message...

Thx for any thoughts on this.:Q

You get that dialog box come up because "you" still logged on the Windows when you try to shut it down. When you get into the stand by or hibernation mode, you didn't officially log off yet. So when you restart your Windows (i.e., by pressing F4 to resume the stand by phase), the Windows take you back to the welcome screen with yourself still being logged on. That's why Windows warn that someone is still logging on the computer (which in this case is you).
