My System keeps reverting back to a different resolution

I have Windows XP on a computer with a 32in Monitor/TV unfortunatly I need it set to atleast 800x600 for it to work properly. My system keeps reverting back to 640x480 every time I restart. Is there anyway I can fix this. I have tried everything that I know of

When you set your screen resolutions do you click on APPLY and then on OK? If you do not click on APPLY first and only click on OK then the changes only last for the session of windows you made those changes in.

Next time you boot up you get the old resolution back. Check that out.

I have not seen a 32 inch monitor before. It must be huge.

A 32-inch monitor/TV combo is kind of a uncommon device - make sure that you have the right drivers for it in XP. Sounds like the driver in use does not allow anything beyond 640x480. You can also try reducing the color depth and see if that will let you up the resolution.

oops I didn't even realize someone had replied (shows you how much I watch my threads) Yeah I do that and the drivers are installed. But everytime it restarts it goes back to 640x480.

I got the Gateway / Zenith 32in Destination monitor it is huge and it's great for quake 🙂 (when on the correct resolution)
