Enermax PS with 2 fans in it

SLK800+Vantec Tornado HSF @ 84CFM

2 CCFL Green
2 CCFL UV

all controlled by a Sunbeam 4x20W rheobus

Room temperature is 20 C

Board Temperatuer is 18 C

CPU Idle is 28 C
CPU Load after 1hr 2hrs 3hrs 4hrs , constant 31-32 max

Athlon XP2100+ @ 2100 @ 1.75 volts
256MB PC3200 XMS LL Corsair @ 200mhz 2-2-2-5
Epox 8RDA+
Xwindow Steel Case
2-Maxtor 80GB HD
1-Deskstar IBM 40GB
1-16x DVD
Floppy drive
1-PCI controller card for hard drives.

Somehow I managed to get all the wires looking nice so its rather unclutterd for having all those cables, including my wiring + flexing for the Rheobus.

Ohmigosh :Q Roughly 275 cfm of case ventilation!? Does it have a knob with a "tumble dry" setting? :D;):D

You gonna overclock that CPU any further or call it good at 2.1GHz?

She won't budge :(

Check in OC I have an article, might link it if I get a second.

To run prime for more than 1hr I need to stay around 2100-2150, I got it to run sisoft arithmetic benchmark @ 2250 and 1.8volts but not prime.

EDIt up above, I have another fan I forgot to mention.

rofl!

Man, I hate to say it, but with all that noise and airflow, that doesn't sound as cool as it could be.....
That must be a Palomino core to run that hot and quit at 2.1 GHz, yes?

I guess Im missing all the posts where Air cooled people get the temps down to 30 like me :) when the room is around 16C the cpu gets to 24C under load, when its 20+ its usually 31-32max, When i turn the fans off in the case, the cpu can get up near to 40+

EDIT: I got my Canon S30 today for $245, so I will be taking pics tommorrow morning when i get off work.

You know, this thread came specifically to m,ind, as I'd read it recently- I didn't remember that it was yours! :D
What happened to spike your temps?

Additionally, though I no longer run it like this, I was able to get my temps at 25c case and 38c processor under load on my non-oc'ed 1800+ on an 8kha+. That's with a 127cfm 120mm intake fan, a ~30cfm 80mm blowhole, and a Volcano 9 (no where near on par with an SLK-800).

I switched systems, that was with an older HSF in an older case, and I think it may have been reporting it wrong :)

BUMP: Update pics on their way, one in already

Oooo, pics! :D

Hey, the ATX cable... could you route it to the left, and tuck it against the rear wall beside the 80mm rear fans, then up the rear wall and across the top corner? I did something kind of like that with my 8RDA+, there was a perfectly-sized gap between the 80mm exhaust fans and the I/O panel. Came out very neat. :D

good call, i might try that... This thing has an ugodly number of wires

5 flexing wires from fans
2 flexing wires from lights (when i get them put back in)
1 ATX
3 rounded cables
1 Floppy cable (not in yet)
3 more power supply wires i have tucked in above the DVD (err DVD is in my other system gonna switch em)
1 power wire to power the 3 hard drives.
3 wires for USB
1 wire for Firewire
4 small wires for power reset HDD light etc
1 Internal speaker wire

like 25 wires, some really large (ATX) some smaller (speaker wire)

you almost done with it? looks good but you should heat shrink the ends of those neon wraps. but other than that, its a good job

ok. am i the only one wondering how the board temp is cooler than room temp? you got some refridgerent in there? :D

and why are you using a PCI controller for the hard-drives? you're not above the 137GB break-point . . .

other than that, looks pretty cool. :)

got those backwards :(

I need to get some bigger heat shrink :(

Epox 8rda+ has 2 controllers on the motherboard

1 - Main hard drive
2 - DVD and CDRW

I have 3 hard drives so I needed the card for the other two

I am almost done, after I put the lights back in, and get the CDRW in, I will be done.... but I still might play with the airflow a bit, Thise case sucks for ventiallating because

1) There are no holes in the front to let air in or out with the fans
2) There isnt a blowhole for exhaust like I want :) will fix that if I ever get any tools.

Sweet but try cleaning them wires up a little. I wrapped all of my power supply wires in wire mesh. The job was kinda a PITA but after I heatshrinked the ends and installed it, looks very sweet.

I might do that, I will mess around with the cables some more once I get the CDRW in the mail
