Hey Guys

I did this mouse mod a while ago because I didn't want to buy mouse skates and was tired of how crappy my mouse was sliding.

I used three smooth guitar picks super glued to the bottom of my mouse to make it slide VERY nicely over my cloth mouse pad. I used to use a black plastic RatPadz but found that I got better tracking with my old logitech dual optical mouse on a non-black surface like my blue cloth mousepad. I use a the supersize mousepads they sell at frys

Hope this helps you guys not spend money on crappy mouse skates or a new mouse

unfortunately, i can't post the pics here because anandtech doesn't allow uploaded pics only links

Yes it does. Upload 'em.

I think he was referring to the fact that you can't upload pics directly from the forum, you have to go through a pic hoster. Incidentally, Anandtech has basically a dedicated hoster at pics.bbzzdd.com.

0roo0roo, where do you get your teflon tape? I did a google search and found a few sites that sold decent stuff, but shipping was usually ludicrous. My G5's feet have almost worn down to the black plastic, so I'm getting a little concerned.
