So far no problems. I have updated with a firmware update and the usual software updates. So far no problems. One neat thing I have discovered, if I download a background image on my home computer and have it active, it shows up on my Surface the next time I turn it on or access it. I think it is a pretty neat trick. I am having so much fun with this Surface and showing it off to my friends.

And the thing with the Pro is that you kind of have to accept that it's an actual computer and may have bugs or issues that come associated with having the full version of Windows.

To be fair, many bugs I encounter deal with third party drivers and programs more than actual Windows itself (possibly due to the software team's dealings and software methods).

Even on Steam, when I gone in to update the AVGN game, Avira turned up a positive immediately. That is saying something to me on how development teams go about doing things.

But yes, I believe the Surface 2 is a good device (by proxy of using the Modern/Metro side of Windows 8.1 Pro on the Surface Pro 2). It would suit well for many work areas of Office and Modern/Metro apps.

The keyboard connector cover system and power adapter system are probably the pushover to consider the Surface line when comparing other convertibles.

This is assuming a user does not need other "heavy hitter" applications that has worked with Windows desktop before. This is also assuming that a capacitive pen/stylus (fine tipped, writing end only, no turnabout eraser) would work just fine.

Exact opposite here: every bug I've encountered is due to Windows/MSFT

Wow, took some pictures with my windows phone, saved pictures to skydrive and on my Surface was able to download and attach a couple of the pictures to the email and send out to a co-worker. Very easy to do.

Yeah, the Sync is very integrated within Windows 8.1 and Windows 8.1 RT. Though I tend to keep my desktop "disconnected" because of completely different configuration.

Wow, with xbox music I am able to not only sync my music in windows media player but music I have purchased through iTunes and Amazon. Pretty neat. I can save my music in the music cloud and play it on my pc, surface tablet and windows phone. Wow, talk about integration. This is convenient especially when I want to listen to a particular song/playlist instead of the radio in my car.

I was at best buy earlier in the week comparing the Surface 2 and the TF100. I would totally pick the Surface 2 if it had Bay Trail in it since the RT disadvantage is too great for my parents.

The build quality of the Surface 2 is great for its price, the screen is gorgeous and I could not make it lag at all. Tegra 4 is quite a beast for its TDP and I would totally choose the Surface 2 if legacy apps weren't an issue.

If Microsoft really pushes RT for a few years, then the problem will diminish if enough developers get on board.

Honestly, I think Microsoft is doing a great job with Surface. My Mom fell in love with the purple surface keyboard and really wants one now.
