so back on march 5th a car i sold to our fiends teenage son was stolen, he only had 200 bucks left to pay on it so i felt really bad for him (just liability insurance so he was screwed). to top it off the fucktards who stole it did it the day after my mom passed away so it just added to the stress.

anyway for lower insurance rates American family insurance offers a program called teen safe http://www.teensafedriver.com/faqs.htm where they install a camera in the car that records certain events like breaking hard, fast acceleration, hard turns, accidents. when a event happens to trigger the camera it will record a few seconds before and after the event, then uploads the video by cell IP to the teen drive safe company and the parent can see the video on their website. its a pretty slick system they have. So we were checking the website for weeks to see if the fucktards did something to trigger the camera but we got nothing.

last week i got a call from the police saying the car was found abandoned in a apt complex and was being impounded so that was good news now to see what kind of condition the car is in and i had to pay 85 bucks to get the car out of impound which pissed me off, im the victim here and i got fucked again.

the car was in good shape, they left the window down so the passenger seat was soaked from all the rain we had, the ignition was not punched which was a good and the kids txt books from school were still in there. as we searched the car we found the camera under the seat so we plugged it in.

guess what? the fucktards are on video!!!! they hit the speed bumps hard that are front of the elementary school which is just a block away from where it was stolen from. I call the detective assigned to the case and told him what i had and he said to email it to him. i tried many times but i guess the county's system blocks .mov files. so i tried putting a .mov.txt but that still didnt work so i just burned it to disk and took it down to him this morning.

so the detective pops the cd in and plays the video and starts laughing. the cop says see his right eye? and i said yea looks like somebody popped him in the eye. the cop opens a file he has on his desk and BAMM!! inside the file are mug shots of said fucktard but the thing by his eye is not a black eye but a stupid ass tattoo. not only that he several other tats one of which is very identifiable. On his right eye above the eyebrow it says FUCK and under his right eye just above the cheek bone it says COPS. lol what a fucktard. (note really cant see his right eye in the video due to the fuzzy dice the kid had hanging from his rear view mirror)

so there was another cop standing next to me while we watched this and he ask the detective who the chick is sitting in the passenger seat and the detective says that is his girlfriend and i know where she lives. BWAHAHAHAHA so busted. I asked the detective if the fucktard was in custody and he said no the mug shots are from prior car thefts. so i hope that since he is a career criminal and with the video the DA and judge locks his ass up for a long ass time.

as for the chick when they hit the speedbump she says in the video "buckle up" stupid bitch you can die in a fire too!

i will post the video when this case is settled and those two fucktards are locked up. both of them look to be in their late 20's

LOL..Nice catch. ;)

My guess is that it's constantly recording, and an event triggers it to flag and save before and after the event timestamp.

meaning it is constantly recording but will not save or upload until a event happens.

the video starts about 1.5 seconds before they hit the bump you can tell because there are two lenses on it one pointed out the windshield and the other is pointed inside the car. you can see in the video the nose of the car just before it hits the speed bump and the dice are somewhat stationary then they hit the bump and the dice bounce all over and that is when the woman says "buckle up"

The title holder could still be liable from litigation.

WTF? Cars and houses are the two most common items people pay for in installments.

It wasn't come random dude that bought the car. The OP said it was a friend's kid, so you make certain deals with special acquaintences.
