My stingy and geeky bretheren, I need HELP

well i ordered an SGI 1600 sw and a geforce3 from dell with the 20% of dealie in june through dell financing.
When I realized how much I spend on the 1600sw (around 1200) I returned it and was credited.
The geforce3 game out to around 300.

So here I am paying my bills for the finance, which amounted 2 around 150, a little less. I call dell and ask how much more I have to pay and they say 296.
296?? WHAT
What I found out was that I didnt get the card at 20% of!! so it cost me 377!!!

So I ask them what I can do about this and they say that I need proof that the 20% of occured in june.

If anyone can help me I would greatly appreciate it.

It was an all out 20% off not on just some products.
If anyone took a screen capture or can think of any way 2 prove that the deal went on, I would be really greatful and will stop crying myself 2 sleep _ _ <- d00d crying

FYI, i didnt post here 2 get alot of viewers, I posted here because I am familiar with the ppl and I am sure that everyone here knows about the deal. I am not trying 2 be underhanded or anything im just calling out 2 my anandtech brothuhs w00t w00t.

But I will wish you luck in finding proof of the deal. Can someone who got this deal around the same time send him an email copy of an order confirmation or a scan of a receipt? Supernaut, maybe you should put the exact date of your purchase to help fellow ATers look through their receipts. Also, you may way want to call your CC company and put this into dispute.

Hmm...Wish I could help but the only order I have is from 8/02 w/ 20% off. I am sure it is a different deal, but the sku of the discount on my order confirmation was "97-11127".

Like I said, mine was a later promotion though.

Make the Search button your friend - "Dell 20%" over 45 days old in Hot Deals gets you lots of threads about the sale including names and phone numbers for Dell sales people and managers and lots of people who bought stuff. Look and see if any of it helps.

If you cannot get a screen shots from people here, call their customer services and complain. Their Marketing department has to have a media calendar showing all the promotions. There is no way they can not find that information.

Just an idea!
