1. What YOUR PC will be used for. That means what types of tasks you'll be performing.

Light Gaming, some AutoCAD, alot of Internet Browsing, Netflix, Dual Monitors, other normal use.

2. What YOUR budget is. A price range is acceptable as long as it's not more than a 20% spread

No more than a grand $1000.00 but trying to limit between 750 to 900

3. What country YOU will be buying YOUR parts from.

USA

4. Buying no parts outside the USA.

5. IF YOU have a brand preference. That means, are you an Intel-Fanboy, AMD-Fanboy, ATI-Fanboy, nVidia-Fanboy, Seagate-Fanboy, WD-Fanboy, etc.

I am leaning toward Intel i5 or i7 due to higher benchmarks speeds but AMD has lower prices but crappy benchmark compared to Intel. Sometimes tell me I could get an AMD and save money and put toward a good graphics card but not sure what AMD CPU to buy.

6. If YOU intend on using any of YOUR current parts, and if so, what those parts are.

Asus DVD Burner and 25" Handspree monitor, 500W Raidmax PSU Model No. RX-500S ATX12V (this is a Pentium 4 ps)

7. IF YOU plan on overclocking or run the system at default speeds.

I might overclock as long as it doesn't cause alot of heat. I probably don't need to overclock but may if the motherboard supports it.

8. What resolution, not monitor size, will you be using? 1440 x 900

9. WHEN do you plan to build it?

ASAP

Note that it is usually not cost or time effective to choose your build more than a month before you actually plan to be using it.

X. Do you need to purchase any software to go with the system, such as Windows or Blu Ray playback software?

Windows 7 Home Premium

Dump that old Raidmax PS from any plans you have for powering new components.
It's false economy to use it.

You say one of your uses is "dual monitors"... You have one monitor listed as an item you'll be reusing.
Will both monitors be used at 1440 x 900 resolution?

Here's a quick run-down of what you're looking at budget-wise:

(1) Windows 7 - $100
(2) Z77 Motherboard - $110
(3) i5-3570k - $230
(4) 8GB RAM - $50
(5) Case - $50
(6) Power supply - $40 (do not reuse Raidmax)
(7) HD7850 Video card - $180
(8) 120GB SSD - $110
(9) Hard drive - $75
(10) DVD - ($0) reuse
(11) Monitor(s?) - $0 reuse

TOTAL: $945 before tax/shipping

That's right above your comfort-zone, but would be an excellent build for your needs. Don't be tempted to spend more on the video card - unless you want to play every new game out there at a resolution higher than your current monitor, you don't need to push your budget beyond what's listed above. If anything, I'd drop the video card down to a GTX650Ti to save you $50 and bring it below the $900 mark.

If this looks good to you, I can list out parts. If you have any questions, just ask.
