My status IN DC work (temporary)

ebay approved a return from a sale I did, totally WRONG. I already spent the money I got for the sale, so I must stop ALL DC work until I have saved to repay the loan I took to repay the user (no choice, they are deducting it from my checking account)

Sorry, but for possibly 2 months NO DC work due to this emergency. I will be closing my ebay account when this is over, and I will probably never have a server cpu purchase ever again, as the only place to find ES or QS chips is on ebay,.(that I know of)

I have not got the item back, but I just sent the shipping label to the buy 30 minutes ago. I was contesting the return. They said a 7742 ES was not advertised as a 7742 Engineering sample. and they bought it thinking it was a real 7742, when I said "7742 ES", but not good enough.

And not they do not return service fees, but still require return shipping. So I am out $1500 and god knows if I will ever get the hardware back. I am dropping my ebay account once all hope is gone in getting mt hardware back. And I changed the price by 10 times on hardware I had listed. Like $4000 for a 3950 CPU/mobo/memory combo. That should stop buys until I drop the account. I have had it for 22 years, and right now I have one retail and 3 ES Genoa CPUs. That will never happen, but hey are never getting a dime more of my money, EVER !

I have a friend who got his account banned for life. His account was at least 10 years old. He sold an arcade machine to some guy 3 states away. When it came time to pay the guy had no way to transport the full size arcade machine. I think he was drunk or on drugs and started bidding on items on ebay. So they exchanged unpleasantries after it was obvious the guy wasn't going to be paying for the item. My friend used foul language after 3 or 4 polite emails. The guy wanted to see video of the machine working. He sent video showing a working machine. When it came time to pay. No go.

I do not think he was out any money because the listing was never finalized due to lack of payment. Ebay banned him for life and he had a 100% positive feedback account.

The silver lining is that he sold two arcade machines on craigslist including the machine where the buyer refused to pay after winning the auction.

I tried. I even tried to get a return label, and its there also, and it did not work. I had to go backdoor.

The problem is that you were not understanding, but in fact an jerk of your response to me losing $2000/

This post is the same, No understanding. I want a team, that understands peoples problems, and tries to help.

It didn't work because you wanted to fight eBay and missed the deadline for sending the seller a return label. That's on you.

Everyone told you what was going to happen if you tried to fight this. Everyone. You ignored all of the advice from everyone on Discord on how to handle the situation and did it your way.

If you just refunded the money and sent a shipping label you'd only be out the money for shipping + fees and you'd have your hardware.

First. Add the $1420 to the $190 fees + return shipping. so $1650. As for all the other ebay feedback this was a first for me after 22 years. I found it hard to believe you could get screwed so bad. And again, I see no understanding, but just criticism of how I tried to not get screwed. You were initially help, but later just a critic. I want a group that wants to help people, not criticize them.

That's just wrong. If they are going to get a refund for either breaking your parts or just not knowing how to set them up, they should at least have to send everything back to you. 🙁

I offered them a refund plus shippin back or refund xx amount of $$ .. they always took the $$

When someone earns BOINC credit, points are added to the team and for the user. They are separate.
When a user switches teams in BOINC, their personal score goes with them when you look up their personal stats. The points earned while on a team stays. Team scores do not go down when someone leaves for another team. So you could find a team with 1mil credits but the individuals currently on the team add up to 50k or something.

I specified BOINC vs DC as Folding@Home is different. Joining (not switching) a new team restarts the user at 0 for the new team. You could be on multiple teams at once though.

Maybe 1st in daily production. I don't recall TAAT being first in F@H overall credit but I've taken some hiatus' from DC/F@H at times. I have thought about things. First, let me clarify my position. I advertized what I felt (based on what I have seen on ebay for ES CPUs) was an accurate description. When the return reasons were 2fold, first that it was not as described, which I thought was wrong, and that it would not loaded drivers, which I knew was totally wrong, I felt the user was trying to scam me, so I fought this return. Its also my first return from a user in 22.5 years on ebay. I thought I was doing the right thing, and could not believe ebay would take his side on what I felt was a ridiculous claim. In my first 2 phone calls with ebay, they made me feel that I was understood, and that I was right in fighting the return. Obviously I was wrong. So when my second claim was refused I tried to print a return label, and the system was not helping me, and ebay was no help, as I did what they said, and it did not work. After 2 days of trying, I did the "back-door" label after I found his address. Then I waited a few days, and it had not shipped. So I called ebay again. THIS is when they told me that I was 2 days late in making the label, and this the user did not have to return the product, which is insane IMO.

OK< so based on the fact that I had one user from AT that was being a jerk, and not being understanding at all, but the rest of the team should not suffer, I restored my team affiliations, but will not contribute to anything directly related to that member, and will not join his discord ever again. I am still at a minimum contribution level, until my finances can recover. So this threads remains essentially intact.

Just to let you all know, I have given away a 3950x motherboard/cpu/memory and 16 gig extra DDR4 and a 2080TI today and Thursday I will be giving away 2 5950x motherboard/cpu/memory and another 2080TI. Better to give it away to friends that have ebay steal it from you. I have a 1950x Threadripper/motherboard/cpu that I would give away for shipping if you make a good enough case for it. Serious AT DC people only. PM me.
